General

Come check out Youth Speaks Spoken Word Assemblies at both 4th and 5th period lunches today in the Choral Room.  Youth Speaks is the premiere spoken word organization in the nation. The assembly will present performances from Youth Speaks poets and our own SI spoken word artists.  This event is sponsored by The Spoken Word Club and the English Department. 

Driver’s Ed:  Classes begin on Monday, March 22nd.  Registration forms are available in room 101.  Freshmen are welcome to sign up.

Last Day to Vote:  Juniors, Sophomores and Freshmen vote on-line for Student Body President, Vice-President, Sergeant @ Arms, Secretary, and Treasurer.  On-line polls close at the end of 5th TODAY.  Extra copies of Inside SI election issue are available in room 120 or in Mrs. Murphy’s office.

Seniors:  Don’t forget to vote for the Senior Awards. Check your SI email for the link.  Poll closes at noon on Friday!

Juniors:  Big Cat Frosh Mentor applications are available in Mrs. Murphy’s office.

Mixed Chorus is cancelled this afternoon.  Please check your email for the revised schedule for the next two weeks.

Need an opportunity to serve? Want to help others AND have fun?  Come and volunteer to be a judge at the SI Middle School Speech Tournament on Saturday, March 27.  We need judges with prior experience, but we will train you to judge speaking events and help direct our middle school guests in this very important speech tournament.   Come sign up in room 119, just inside the door by Friday, March 19. You can email Ms. Miller at nmiller@siprep.org or come see her before/after school to ask any questions. 

Powder Puff:  Powder Puff girls and coaches come to a meeting today at recess in the Choral Room to get your picture taken.

Mother/Daughter Pictures:  Pictures from the Mother/Daughter night are available in the Student Center during recess & lunch.

Shake It Up This Summer -- SI will partner with Cal Shakespeare for a summer Shakespeare conservatory -- find out about it Friday, afterschool in room 120 or see Mr. Devine.

Internship:  Paid internship with the California Academy of Sciences! Looking for freshman and sophomores interested in Sciences. Multi-year, year round youth development and science education program. Applications must be received by April 2nd Come by the Counseling Center for more information.

 

Clubs

ALAS:  Summit members please attend a mandatory meeting today after school in room 109.  Please be prompt!

Donuts & Coffee:  No meeting this week.

Green Team: Meeting at recess in 203 today.

SI Live:  Writers meeting today after school in Rm 226.  All are welcome.  This is the best way to get in on next year's show.

 

Athletics

Swimming:  Come out and support the girls & boys swim teams as they take on Presentation & Bellarmine today at 3:30.

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Varsity and the Boys Frosh/Soph for their wins over Sacred Heart Cathedral yesterday.  Boys varsity 102- 33, girls varsity 91-48, frosh/soph 108-22.  Big Cats Relays meet sheets are on the Track & Field bulletin board.

Boys’ Lacrosse:  All Yary picture forms must be in the Athletic Office by Friday March 19th.

 

Intramurals
