As part of Laramie Awareness Week, Unity Council has sponsored a student panel on diversity today in the Choral at 5th period lunch. Come join in the dialogue; you may bring your lunch to the program.
Hey SI! Our Christmas Drive is Right Around the Corner! We need volunteers this Friday for our Box Making Party after school. Please come celebrate the season and help us prepare for the upcoming food drive. Please see senior Bernadette Rabuy or sign up outside of Christian Service for this fun project!
Chevy’s Night: Hey SI! Tonight is Chevy’s night for SI. Get your friends together and help build a girl’s hostel in Tanzania! 25% of your bill goes to the project.
Attention Freshmen – just kidding – Attention all SI Students: The Christmas Dance is right around the corner. Bids go on sale next week for December 4th’s Holiday Masquerade. Tickets are $20. per person.
Counseling: Any students interested in Internships? We have two very interesting postings - one sponsored by City & County of S.F. and one sponsored by The Gap. Come by the counseling office and talk to Ms. Frazer or check out the Job/Internship board in the Counseling Ctr. for details.
Fall Play: Tickets are only available online for the fall play “The Laramie Project.”
Performing Arts: Anyone interested in auditioning for any spring performing arts show (Choral, Musical, Student Arts Showcase or instrumental) Come to an informational meeting in Bannan Theatre on Monday Nov. 23 after school. Any questions see Mr. Curry
Magis: Please join us this Friday, November 20th at 1:45 pm in room 109 for the third Magis Movie Day of the year. We will be screening AKA Don Bonus about the experience of a local Cambodian American student from Galileo High School. Food will be served.
Christmas Food Drive: If you signed up to be a Christmas Elf or you would like to help with being an Elf for your 2nd period class for the Christmas Drive please attend ONE of the following trainings : Thursday, November 19th during 4th period in the Choral Room. We will begin 5 minutes after the bell rings or Thursday, November 19th during 5th period in the back room of Campus Ministry. If you have any questions or cannot attend one of the training meetings, please email Ms Campoverdi.
Sophomores: Are you seeing the Laramie Project Friday afternoon? Then come by the gym foyer with your ticket and grab a slice of pizza for one dollar. First come, first served. Special appearance by the sophomore cast members.
Kairos 88 Retreatants and Leaders: Come to a doughnut reunion of your Kairos this Friday at recess in room 210. See you there!
Clubs
Dialogue Club: Dinner, ice cream, and a movie on Sunday. Sign up and information in room 203.
Disney Club: Who put the glad in gladiator? Her – cu – les! Come to our screening this Friday after school in the Choral room. Admission is free.
Donuts & Coffee: Meeting today for all levels at recess in room 210.
Gaming Club: Come learn to play the strategy game Go after school today in Room 313.
Green Team: Come to a brief meeting at recess in room 120.
Harry Potter Club: Do you live in a cupboard under the stairs? Were you disappointed when you didn’t get your Hogwarts letter? If yes, please come to an informational meeting in room 314 at recess today.
Semper Fi Club: Our Care Package Drive will be running until Tuesday, November 24th. Bring in items such as beef jerky, sunflower seeds, magazines, new socks, to send to the troops serving in Iraq. Boxes are wrapped in silver paper by the dean’s office, room 117 and the 1st floor elevator.
Social Justice 9 & 10: Please meet at recess in room 308 on Friday to move the completed project night night bags downstairs. All members are asked to help complete our project.
SI Live Tech Crew: Anyone interested in being a part of the tech team for this year's SI Live show, please see Ms. Fawal in Rm 226.
Athletics
Congratulations to our girls' water polo team on their Central Coast Section semifinal victory last night. The #3-seeded Wildcats play for their first-ever CCS championship against #1 seed Sacred Heart Prep this Saturday, November 21, at 10 AM at Santa Clara University's Leavey Center. Admission will be charged. Parking is free in the parking structure adjacent to Leavey Center and Buck Shaw Stadium.
Congratulations to our boys' water polo team, which reached the CCS semifinals in their first appearance in the CCS playoffs.
JV Football: Players with jersey numbers 42-93 there is a mandatory meeting mandatory meeting today at the beginning lunch in the Beta Lab. Do not be late!
Girls Varsity Volleyball: Your uniform needs to be returned this Friday during recess time. Please turn in your jerseys to Ms. Seppi in the athletic department washed, dried, and in a plastic bag with your name on it.
Intramurals
Sign-up for 5th period intramural diving all next week in the south gym. Competition will be on Thursday, November 19th. Contact gharking10@siprep.org
The first annual Ruff House showdown is on! Signup for this 3v3 basketball intramural November 19, 23, and 24th at the first half of 5th period in the new Gym. The tournament is on November 30 – December 3! See you then!
