Educational Technologist
The educational technologist assists faculty members in enhancing learning through appropriate uses of technology. Emphasis of all technology instruction should be in enhancing content learning while strengthening technology skills of students, teachers, and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- collaboration with teachers in implementing technology into the curriculum;
- structuring technology education of students, teachers, staff, and the wider community;
- collaborate with the Director of Technology and the Director of Professional Development on the budget for computer resources including hardware, software, learning resources, and training needs;
- provide troubleshooting on a limited basis;
- identify and publicize trends in software, curriculum, teaching strategies, and new resources;
- collaborate with the Technology Department on the Technology Plan for the school; and
- create learning resources for teachers, staff, and students
