Statement of Purpose

Founded in 1921, CSF, the oldest scholarship institution in California, recognizes academically accomplished students and works to foster a spirit of service within our school community and beyond.

How to Join

First, a student must qualify via their grades. This qualification is based on a formula promulgated state-wide by CSF's state board of directors, published in the Federation's Handbook (NOT directly GPA based). Once deemed eligible, students must complete written applications during the publicized application period early in each semester. Except for CJSF "Honor Award" students, first semester freshmen are not eligible for membership.

At the beginning of each semester, eligibility lists will come out. If your name is on it, listen to announcements for when to register. If you think you have mistakenly been left off the list, don’t hesitate to let someone know
